To connect your Netgear extender setup to your existing network, follow the instructions.
Unplug and move the extender to a new position about midway between your router and the weak WiFi signal field.
Insert the extender into the power outlet and wait until the power LED turns green.
Plug the Netgear ext into an outlet closer to the router and try again if the Router LED doesn’t light amber or green.
Try to connect your computer or mobile device to the new WiFi network extended device.
Plug the mywifiext into the power outlet and wait until the power LED turns green.
What to do When you are not able to access the Netgear extender setup page?
The default web address for opening the Netgear Extender Setup page is Mywifiext.net. But often, there is no setup page shown on the page. You see a website with a regular page or an error on the page instead. The error is reflected either because you are not linked to the network or because your main network is not linked to your Mywifiext setup.
If they are correctly linked to your WiFi modem, check your network cables. Check if your modem works well. The lights are all (at least 4) glowing. If all is well, try switching the modem off and switching on again once and try to attach your Netgear ext again.
You can see the Mywifiext web page when you are linked to the network. If you don’t see the same page on your phone, then your network needs to be tested.
