  • For each band, the password is by default the same as your current network.
  • You have the option to use the same WiFi name and password as your current network for the mesh extenders. To allow this function, select the Trigger One WiFi Name checkbox if your Netgear Wi-Fi Extender Setup supports it.
  • This allows your extender to use the same password and WiFi name (SSID) as your current WiFi network. Tap NEXT or touch it. Your settings are applied by the extender. It can take a couple of minutes.
  • The extender shows the name of the WiFi network (SSID) and password for each band in your extender. Take note of such. Go to the WiFi settings on a computer that you intend to mywifiext.net to an extender network, and link to a new network extender.
  • Go back to your web browser, click the checkbox at the bottom of the page, and then click or tap Proceed.
  • Your extender now expands coverage of your network.
